In the last week I have read things in local and national news papers that have made me wonder if the writers had any thought at all about what they were trying to communicate to their readers.

This is a quote from my local paper:

"A MAN has been killed after being struck by a train near the Newton Flotman level crossing for the second morning in a row."

No, not the same man killed twice. Two men were killed in separate incidents two days in a row.

"The Duke of Cambridge let slip that he would like to have two children with wife Kate during the couple's tour of Singapore today."

Two children in one day? Now that is quick!

And to think that there was a time I couldn't get a job editing copy for the local paper...

Thanks for the laugh.

Once I saw a local headline reading Aldermen heed mayor, back off crime plan. I was really relieved that the aldermen weren't going to break into my house and steal all my cats.
