I NEED YOUR HELP:
I am starting a column in a local online newspaper about local ethnic grocery stores. The tone is light and informative, written in the first person ("I tried the fried glarb....") But the column doesn't have a name I need on RIGHT AWAY. I've gotten some good suggestions but my editor wants me to think of a few more. Can anyone give me something brilliant?
THANK YOU!

Some quick ideas to throw a bunch out there.

The Spice of Life
Culinary Adventures
Shopping for Adventure
Spice it up!
Cooking on the Edge

I hope some of that at least provides a good starting point.

The food, the fad, and the fugly?

No, that's dumb.

All things food and beautiful?

No, that's also dumb.

The talk of the wok? The wok of the town? A wok on the wild side? The wild and the mild? Sass and Sauce?

No. *think woozy* *think*

"Real Food" (short, pithy, piquant, confident but not presumptive)

Oh, I don't know. Good luck.

The Spice Girl?
Haute and Hot?
Haute or Not?
The Global Kitchen? (Get it, like "global village" but it's a kitchen and .... oh, go to bed, woozy!)
---
Hey! Frimble's "Global Pantry" *is* good!
-----
Of Spice and Pen!! (See my half puns above were meant to be suggestions as in "Mmm, well if you do a pun on 'Of Mice and Men' you can do 'Of Spice and ... something'". So, "pen" because you're a columnist! (Oh, really! Go to bed!!!!)
-----
Haute off the Press.
Haute Nights and Simmer Days
Haute or Note (if you have that type of regional accent)

What ethnic food do you cover or is it any ethnic food?

Food Hostel.

I go from ethnic grocery to ethnic grocery. My first is West African, but there's Korean/Japanese, Russian, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Kosher, Caribbian, etc. in the future. A couple of local supermarkets carry odd cuts of meat (THIN CUT pot roast, goat with skin or not with skin, beef testicles, etc.)

I'm always excited about trying new foods and since what I buy is part of my research, it's tax deductable.

The thin cut pot roast, is that a Japanese grocery? The one nearest me sells beef, pork and lamb sliced really thin for cooking in hot broth for shabu-shabu. I cook it in a non-stick pan for use in sandwiches, on the theory that it isn't as preservative-laden as deli sliced meat.
They also have frozen barbequed eel, which is why I go there.

My editor has posted the names she like for our readers to decide. We'll see what happens and I'll let you all know. Thanks for the great suggestions.

So which names did you submit? How's the readers' poll coming? We all want to know?
