In My Own Little World...
Hi guys.

I'm writing a scene where my character is drugged but I'm kinda stuck.

In the scene my MC is drugged over dinner and eventually becomes more groggy.

My question is what sort of drug could be put in her drink - obviously without her noticing - so that she becomes more and more tired over time (is an hour reasonable?) and eventually passes out. Also how long would she be out for? - I'm presuming it all varies on the amount used, but I'm not sure.

Thanks for any help that you lovely folks have to offer!

Rohipnol/rohypnol - a.k.a. the date rape drug would be the obvious choice.

Yup. Also, Valium and Xanax would work pretty well too. I've been on both before and had awful side-effects, from short-term memory loss to constant sleepiness.

If you're looking for something untraceable, you could use Benadryl or Clonidine.

Clonidine (aka Catapress) is an anti-hypertensive that lowers BP and makes you sleepy. Doesn't take much.

Also, you could look at neuroleptics like Zyprexa, esp. Zyprexa Zydis. It's a tablet that dissolves easily and not only makes ya sleepy, but has the "morning after" effect, too. And it's odorless and tasteless.
