Smashwords, Kindle, CreateSpace - what else?

Hi all,

Have I mentioned how helpful this forum is? Wow, I can't even believe it.

So, I am sending my book off today to be formatted for Smashwords and Kindle. I will also figure out how to format for CreateSpace.

What other publishers/services should I use? I see on the forums here that someone mentioned iBooks. What else?

Is there a specific order that folks would recommend I follow when publishing my book?

Amazon KDP, Smashwords (all channels), CreateSpace POD. If your book happens to be romance, AllRomance is another worthwhile place but no other genre has hub site with similar traffic.

After that, you're pretty much done; write the next book!

ACX if you want to see about creating an audio book.

If you use Smashwords your book will go to iBooks, I believe. (Easiest way in that door, too.)

You might also consider Lulu.com.

If you are in the US, you can also go with PubIt!, the Barnes&Noble service, as well as Kobo, which is a subsidiary of Rakuten.

You can reach both via the Smashwords distribution, but you can also go to them directly.
