On March 1st 2012, HarryHoskins (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/member.php?u=49424) posted the 41 entries for his wildly popular genre-bending short story contest. Entries came from a wide selection of writers from all over the different categories, genres, and disciplines of AW members!

The results of such a diverse group of creative individuals can still be read and appreciated by: remembering to use the password: vista -and following this link. Wild West (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=238955).

Everyone was a winner in this contest!
-but the top three vote-getters went to AW writers:

Kelly is indexing and linking up contests and stuff that have already happened, Paul.

I'm suspecting she's got the soul of an archivist, and just won't admit it openly.

I have the soul of an archivist.

*did I just take the first step to recovery?*

Harry's Western Short Story Contest is where many of us first experienced the writing of AW member Chris P (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/member.php?u=36103).

His entry entitled: Awaiting your reply, I remain your servant, Josiah Cranston garnered second place in the contest...

and now...

*drum roll please*

Chris has announced it's publication (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=249584)!

If you get a chance, pop into that thread and give Chris a pat on the back!! Way to go!
