Well ... I just came back from Rays House of love thread. Cliff said it was for singles. NOT ... if fact I don't think any of those people are even single. They're all like "Oh ... I tuck my sheets in this way" and "I like to get up up at 2:00am to fold sheets and organize my house". No offense to you guy over there but ahhh it's so obvious your married. LOL
Thought I could start a thread for the "real" single people so they have a place to go to complain about the woes of single life, bad dates etc.
So, check out the poll and lets see if we can make a go of it.

I don't really do threads like that (just a time thing mostly), but I'm single and I never talk about bed-making, so sure :D

I do complain about exes stealing the sheets, though. One reason I like being single!

I'll complain :( I am at the stage where I feel constantly sad that the person I'm in love with doesn't want to be with me at this moment in time. Don't want to be single, want to be with him. This is my single life.

Should probably add we were together for 8 years so single life is scary territory for me. :/

Oye .. such a bummer and I can relate. It's can be scary but I am embracing my new found freedom. I try to find the humor in these situations. Dig if you have to ... it's there. Easy for me to say since I was the leaver.
I say go out and buy something that makes you feel beautiful, get a new doo and make yourself feel great. Grab some girlfriends and go out and flirt. It's okay to pine for a little while but then you gotta, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back in the game. Don't look back, don't look forward. Try to live in the moment cause that's where you shine. :Hug2:

Well, now there was some talk about hot sex over there but mostly it's just wine and hot tub action with the occasional bag "O" donuts thrown in for good measure.:D

There was more sex talk there when Ray was around.

Oh, good grief, Charlie Brown. I post on Ray's HOL every few days as a single, albeit geezer, guy. Not about making beds, though. Guess I better go there and put up some Viagra link!

Before I met Mrs Seun, I was staggeringly single (we're not talking a dry spell, we're talking a feckin desert). Not surprising, really, since all the women I spoke to were either my mates or serving me beer.

I would feel much more comfortable posting on a "wallflower" thread.

HOL isn't for singles, it is for everyone. Take a dip in the hot tub or cannonball into the pool. We chat about our day and stuff. We flirt a little. It was more flirty in past years. We could use some more folks. Especially a towel boy or two. We'll give you your own locker. :) watch out for the cameras- I bet Ray still monitors them.;)

Hey I like this idea. I'm single, and don't even understand this "bad making" thing of which you speak.

Oh, and I just had a terrible "non-date" - first one after being "back on the market" too. Yay! :)

Well see ... Yay! Don. That was the whole point of the thread. It was for us singles to laugh at the misadventures of each others dating.
It's all good as long as we don't get into the gritty details. Unless you went mud wrestling on the date ... then gritty might be unavoidable. :D

The dark side of the moon, making sinister plans..
Ever had a long distance relationship? I can tell you from two years experience that it sucks I definitely do not recommend it, even if it is the love of your life. Maddening doesn't even begin to describe it.

Thank goodness! *edit ... not thank goodness to you Peter .. that was aimed at DES.*
How about this one .. a friend reluctantly accepted a dinner invitation set up through another friend. Her date shows up dressed in a black and white pin stripe suit. And when I say pin stripe I mean "Gangsta". Think it was vintage .. pants were kinda bellbottomy. Anyway he had a red lacy poof in the breast pocket that turned out to be a pair of woman's underwear.
Needless to say there was not a second date.

*Hint to all you single guys ... don't ever do that.*

Haha, so true. I don't date or have anything to do with relationships anymore, though, so I probably won't have anything to contribute to this thread. I'm just one of those people who gets on better alone.

Though, if someone hot wanted to come around a couple times a week for sex and not expect anything else, that'd be cool. :D
