My main character, an alcoholic, is drunk when she's arrested and starting to feel the effects of alcohol withdrawal when she's remanded into custody and sent to a correctional facility.
I need someone who knows what would happen inside to treat the symptoms of withdrawal & her addiction. Would the facility have a hospital or infirmary, or would she be sent to a separate treatment facility first? I'm poking around trying to find out answers now but thought someone here might know or have connections to someone else who might know.
