Hello. My name is Patrick. I was wondering if there are beta readers available to partner up with me?

Better yet, it's horror.

Do you have a novel ready? What are you looking for? I like to write dark fantasy, not really horror but fantasy with horror/dark elements. I'm also beta for another writer. It would be nice to know what are you really looking and what kind of story was.

That's the issue. I was kind of hoping there are beta readers out there who help writers develop novels. I have a short story ready though.

Patrick, it would probably help if you were to read the sticky-thread at the top of this subforum, entitled Please Read Before Posting! (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14331). It discusses the differences between a beta-reader and a mentor and a writing partner. I think you're looking for one of the latter.

There's also a sticky entitled What Is A Beta Reader? (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69137) which contains a discussion about what beta readers do and don't do, and what writers can reasonably expect (vs what is unreasonable). You might find reading that thread to be helpful, too.

Hi Patrick, I agree you are looking one of the later. But veside the genre there's any other details of your story that may help you find someone? I have some writing buddies and this is what we do. Anything send a PM.
