Been having severe trouble editing a short story - rewritten the first two pages about 15 times... perhaps more, and still hate it.
Anyway, picked up the "Self Editing for Writers" book, dipped into it, and finally came up with something I'm happy with.
It turns out that my original draft was roughly OK... A bit of advice from the book, and I had the confidence to wind the file back to an older version, and start again...
