A question from a friend of a friend: do US or UK or Canadian agents take on clients from other continents?
I mean - of course a lot a still in the age of horse-drawn carriages and snail mail and refuse even a telegraph query, but the others, the daredevils who laugh in the face of the hypothesis that email correspondence steals souls - has anyone heard of them being capable of working with people they can not physically touch?

Why the sarcasm? Of course agents in these countries take on clients in other countries. Regardless of locale of either party, the vast majority of represented authors have never met their agents. You, not agents, might be the one who needs to catch up with the times.

Yes they do.
The key factor is that the work being offerred is suitable for the marketplace the agent operates in. The geographic location of the writer is unimportant
