I entertained a house guest, which is quite hard work as well.

Especially when he didn't really want to do anything, and never even wanted a hot drink or food or anything.

Editing is the hardest part of writing. :)

Today I did Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred.

Tomorrow I will edit.

We shall see which hurts more.

Today, I made and cleaned up 3 meals for 2 kids under 4, washed and changed all the sheets and pillows in the house, did two loads of laundry, and, the big one, stained a 16x20 deck. That one is gonna have me hurtin' tomorrow. I just finished about 30 minutes ago, thankfully, b/c it was dark.

I walked for two and a half hours with my sweetie. The excuse was to visit the Night Market, but really, we were just going for a gargantuan walk together. When we got there, we smelled the delicious fried-heart-attack foods and browsed the sparkly trash and $1 panties. Then we bought coconut water on the way home.

Thankfully, I did my writing this morning, because my feet are now demanding to spend the rest of the evening propped on the couch's armrest.

Just hanging around. Wondering. Waiting. Sleeping. Eating. Sipping tea.

Haven't seen you for a long time.

... that's impressive. I wish I had your drive. If I manage a few words a day I pat myself on the back, congratulate myself on a job well done, and call it a day.

Ever notice that the word edit is an anagram for diet?

Keep up the good work, dclary. :)

The size of your sigline is obscene, and I don't want to see it anymore in this room unless it's reduced by at least 75%.

Size of comic reduced in OP's sig-line.

Thread reopened.

What did you guys do this weekend?

I hit something with my car.

Perhaps a coyote? Things happen really quick at 11:50pm on Sunday night driving near 70mph on a empty interstate... I saw grayish-brown fur in the same split second the car went ka-whump over something... thank goodness I had a good grip on the wheel.

Still though, makes me quite sad.

Car is mostly OK, cracked front bumper and lots of little black plastic bits and fur that fall out whenever I stop...

*waits for insurance person*

I did a lot of editing myself and it really wore me out, so I switched to helping install new windows for a while. That was actually a reprieve from the editing! (Don't get me wrong, I love it, but it can be a bit draining at times.)

I finished a the first draft of my sci fi WIP and ate at I-HOP twice. I did choose their under 600 cal options though.

I like editing more than doing first drafts.

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8157/7444708736_1095816e50_n.jpgISN'T CAMEL-RIDING AWESOME?! Seriously, it's nature's roller coaster when they first stand up. Swoop-swoop-SWOOP! And suddenly you're twelve feet in the air.

(TL;DR: rube Canadian, easily impressed.)

Ha ha - it wasn't that interesting. They had a platform that we walked up and then we just sat on the camel that was already standing. We went around a circle and then got back off. My husband had more fun than I did.

Ah, that's too bad. It is kind of fun-terrifying when the camel stands because suddenly you're leaning waaaay back to keep from sliding down it's neck, then suddenly you're leaning waaaay forward and at risk of kissing its neck, and then ELEVATOR RIDE! You're suddenly launched straight up.

When El Husbando and I visited the UAE, we got a short camel ride like you did. When we visited India, we got to ride for about half an hour. It was pretty fun!
