I stayed up last night reading the whole thing (whilst making last minute edits), and damn... The end of the book makes me cry. There are some farewells that are hard to take, and if you're emotionally invested in the characters (as I am), they don't come easy.
I only hope that with the rest of the book I manage to invest my readers as completely. If I did that, then the end of the novel will be the key that locks this in their "Damn, that was a good book" memory files.
