I am thinking of going to a writers conference where you can pitch to an agent. But i have no idea how to pitch, having never done so. Anyone have any ideas? What should i take? How do you even begin? Has anyone ever done this before? Thanks!

Pitching
Hi - Janet Wellington (she has a website) teaches a class in pitching. She used to belong to my RWA group and is VERY good! Best of all, she's pitched and sold books. I'm always wary of people who like to teach classes in subjects they've never actually done. (Oy, was that a convoluted sentence?) Check it out.
