Interstellar Fiction is a fledgling science fiction magazine. You can check us out over at www.interstellarfiction.com. The website, the logo, and everything else are still in their infant stages, so we are still in the process of fleshing everything out and fixing all the kinks.

If you're interested in what we're looking for, check out our Submissions Headquarters (http://interstellarfiction.com/submission-headquarters/). To sum up what we would like to see:

We love all the old clichés, but we also love finding new ones.
And more so than tropes and clichés, we are interested in well-developed characters and conflicts.

We are seeking short science fiction stories between 1,500 - 4,000 words long. We will pay $0.02 per word up to 2,000 words and $0.01 per word after 2,000. We are still working on this, but we ask for first world electronic rights (for text now, and possibly audio later on), first print rights (though, not for the first few issues), exclusive rights for six months after release, and non-exclusive rights after the six month period to keep the story archived on the website and in case we decide to do an annual anthology.

We are also seeking nonfiction articles between 1,000 - 2,000 words long. There was not enough room in the title for this, but we will pay $30.00 per article. Articles about the future of science and science in general are welcome, but we would love to see focused discussions on science and its implications on culture. The same rights as above, though we are still working on this.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me here, on Twitter (@interstellarfic), via e-mail (acrousey@interstellarfiction.com), and via the contact form found in the Contact Us section of our website.
