I've seen the ads, and the trailer looked just like what your review described. Another pitiful 'shock in the dark' film.
I'm a little biased, I've seen a few documentaries on what the area is like now, and I'm torn between being pleased that the animals and plants seem to be thriving, and being so sorry for all those people who were evacuated from their homes with almost no notice. Even worse, I suspect, is that unlike the physical destruction of a natural catastrophe, all their stuff was just sitting there. By now, of course, time and the elements have done for most of it, but how horrible to think that your life is just sitting there, and you'll never see it again.
Compared to that, I'm not really working up much sympathy for a pack of fools, doing stupid stuff.
