Been planting a lot of various things the past week, including some greens and herbs I've never tried. One of which (seeds) I found locally that looks highly promising, called orach:

I've had real good luck with odd greens in recent years, things you'll never find at stores, like sorrel and burnet and purslane and mizuna and mache and chervil, wonderful stuff in salads and various cooking. I'm looking forward to trying this thing.

I live in an apartment, so no planting here - but that website has some really cool looking things I have never seen growing in other peoples' gardens before.

Purslane is considered a weed out here. It grows wild and crazy. I love eating it in salads. Have you tried picking it at different times of day? It tastes different in the morning than in the evening..
