Camargue - Festival of Saintes Maries

We've been invited down to the Festival of the Saintes Maries de la Mer (yes, we're still in France) which sounds incredible.

Has anyone been? Any advice or suggestions or "For Heaven's sake don't do <insert social gaucherie here> it's incredibly rude" bits of information?

I've never been to that festival, but it sounds amazing, and I can say you should most definitely visit Camargue! It's a very unique and beautiful area of France (and one of my personal favorites

). If you can, take some time and explore - you won't regret it, I promise!

Oh, wow, what an amazing opportunity.

Bring something to cover your head/hair. Wear a skirt/dress.

Please take pictures of the horses.

That's one of the areas of France I most want to see.

The French there is still markedly Gaulish.
