She cares about writers, and I know that a lot of people here care very much for her and appreciate all that she has done and continues to do. Ann, I'm late to hear the sad news, but I've been on this merry-go-round before, when my husband was ill. (He recovered fully.) Please remember that we're not just here when you're feeling pretty decent and would like to say hello or thank people for their prayers and best wishes, but also when you're exhausted, ill, and wondering how long you can keep fighting this fucktacular illness.

Foul weather friends are abundant here. I'm sure I'm not the only one whose PM box never closes, and if you need to use it (in complete confidentiality), come on by.

Oh no! I hope she gets remission soon. I say this to anyone who posts about cancer... it is very important to stay positive. My work on cancer has shown this (with proper graphs and everything). The immune cells that help prevent cancer and put it in remission are knocked out by stress hormones so the less stressed you are the better chance you have. I know it is hard (I have been there in that black despair after being diagnosed with something - nothing as bad as cancer but even so it was tough to remain positive) but I hope you manage it and pull through.
