I'm looking for a Shakespeare quote that means something like, "if you want something done right you have to do it yourself." Or something along those lines. Are there any such quotes in any of the Shakespeare works you guys are familiar with?
"Let every eye negotiate for itself
And trust no agent; for beauty is a witch
Against whose charms faith melteth in blood."
Much Ado About Nothing (II, i, 178-180)
The first line to "no agent" says do it yourself to me...
Those are great, thank you! I have a character that is obsessed with Shakespeare, and quotes short lines when they fit the moment. He's awkward in a rather eccentric way, but I think it's working for the character.
Thanks again! If people have more, please, lay them on me!
