The website isn't working for me?

Doesn't work for me either. Just a big blank with categories on top, the links there also don't work.

I'm a little confused. I can go to your news ink, brains, also to the facebook link on there, but their website is... well...

http://www.midnighthourpublishing.com/

Are they no longer in business?

It took a while to load but the website came through for me.

Can you point where exactly they are looking for stories for an anthology? I really couldn't find their "Submission Guidelines" page when I checked.

The submission calls (from Facebook) point to these two anthologies:

As someone noted on the EREC blog, the links are broken. They have 'publushing' instead of 'publishing' in them so they return error messages when clicked.

It took ages for it to load for me too.

I didn't find this one on the threads. Has anyone heard anything about Midnight Fire Publishing, imprint of Midnight Hour Publishing?

This one?

http://www.midnightfirepublishing.org/#!about-us/c139r

and this?

The imprint looks very new (2012), which comes with the standard advice: give it some time before trying. There's nothing up about who's running/editing the company; no bios on experience etc (not that I can see).

I didn't see any either, I thought maybe I missed it. Thank you.

According to their website Midnight Fire's only book to date is Sweet Dreams by Benjamin Daniels, but Amazon reveals that he has another recently released MF book out - Hell's Gate. This book is edited by Emily Walker, a name that rang a bell with me:

Submissions or questions can be sent to Emily Walker at Midnightfire@hotmail.com
http://www.midnightfirepublishing.org/#!anthologies/c1ioq

From the blog Self Publish or Die:

Author Emily Walker

I have books coming out in January that I will be publishing and in December with Midnight Hour Publishing that I am very excited about.
http://www.selfpublishordie.com/author-emily-walker/

MF's two forthcoming books are both by the pseudonymous Jewels Moss, and since she effectively outed herself here - http://www.shelfari.com/jewelsmoss/shelf - I'm hardly revealing a big secret!

It sounds like yet another case of a self-pubbed author setting up as a publisher in their own right, but I also came across this:

Emily Walker
Sometimes I'm Lyra Mcken, sometimes I'm someone else. I like to be just Emily sometimes too. I love to write in every genre and my head is constantly coming up with new story ideas. I run the website http://www.selfpublishordie.com where I strive to get other author's names out there. My biggest interviewee yet was Jamie McGuire.

I work for GMTA Publishing, and Midnight Hour Publishing. You can tweet me @authorewalker or find me on Facebook. I love social media, and I love to read every opportunity I get. My favorite author is Heinlein, but I also have a weak spot for Jane Austin.
My next Novel due out is The Reluctant Succubus with Midnight Hour Publishing and then a self published release in January, Long Road Full Speed Ahead.

Lyra McKen/Emily Walker is published by GMTA Publishing (http://gmtapublishing.com/new-page.html) but neither name appears on the list of their staff.

I am with GMTA as an author which is what I meant when I said I work for them, but I wanted to clarify that I write for them, but do not do any other work for any publisher. Thank you!

I swear, some of these things have about the same lifespan as a second lieutenant on Omaha Beach.

Midnight Hour Publishing is up and running, and they're accepting submissions for anthologies and books.

They insist that the company has completely different owners (https://www.facebook.com/MidnightHourPublishing/posts/994312433919705), but say on both their FB and website that the company was founded in 2012, and that they're keeping old books and authors.
Here's their website (https://www.tumblr.com/search/midnight%20hour%20publishing)
Their Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/MidnightHourPublishing)
Their LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/pub/midnight-hour-publishing/69/44/430)
On Smashwords (https://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/MidnightHour)
Their Tumblr (https://www.tumblr.com/search/midnight%20hour%20publishing)
And their Twitter (https://twitter.com/MidnightHour12?lang=en)

I think this is Tumbler page you're trying to link to: http://midnighthourpublishing.tumblr.com/

Website is actually: http://midnighthourpublish6.wix.com/midnighthourpub

Update: The woman that's running Midnight Hour now is the daughter of the person who ran it before. So whether or not it really has changed hands is a dubious question.

And the stray apostrophe in their announcement doesn't give me faith in them, either. They're *publishers* FFS, they should know the language or get proofreaders who do.

No further activity. FB and Tumblr are gone.
