Flower preservation in flower cooler

I'm having difficulty finding an answer to this via Google.

How long, on average, will flowers last when kept in a flower cooler? Days? Weeks?

This literally relates to one line in my manuscript but I want to make sure I'm getting this right.

A lot depends on the type of flower - chrysanethemums will hold up much longer than iris; some of the daisies will hold up longer than tulips. If I were you I'd call a local florist (or even grocery store that sells flowers) and ask them. Puma
