Confession: I have a weakness for boots, particularly Dr. Marten boots. I live in Michigan so boot-wearing season is long, but never long enough for me.

This year I found a way to make boot season segue into spring and summer:

I just got these today. They are super comfortable and I adore them. Honestly, I think I would wear them with shorts.

It's kind of ridiculous how happy Dr. Martens make me. I know these are different and not something everyone would like or wear. But me, I absolutely love them.

I see them now. And, beeeez, too. (I love bees.)
Wait, there's bees? *inspects feet* OMG! Beezes!

Now that makes me even happier. I've been meaning to buy a piece of bee jewelry, just because I finished a long course of allergy shots to rid myself of my anaphylactic bee allergy. But the bees found me.

Man, Dr. Marten's make my life complete.

So there are--spring has sprung!

I'd never had what I call "fun" jewelry 'til I bought these bee earrings on eBay (I think. Coulda been etsy.) recently:

The last time I got pair of Doc Martens and thought *Wow! isn't this wild!* it was because they came in colors... yeah, wow, solid colors... heh. Beat the heck out of my old 'greasy boots'! I still lurved them though (ruby red wore them to bits) but those above, pass all expectations... They're gorgeous!

Okay. So, I've visited this thread I don't know HOW many times just to stare longingly at those boots. 'nuff of this, I thought. I'll head on over to Dr. Martens and take a look at some cool boots. Maybe get a pair. Maybe not exactly like Devil's, but I'll see what they've got.

And, I tripped on over to their website, feet tapping with the happy expectation of being gloriously shod. Drats! Foiled again.

What, they couldn't make their boots just one additional size smaller? There oughta be a law! :Soapbox:

My feetses are sad.

I have the opposite problem. Gunboats does not begin to cover these things. They are aircraft carriers. I have fallen arches, and have had to replace ALL my shoes. I used to wear a nice respectable 8 1/2. Now, some of them are size 11.

I love Docs. I remember buying my first pair of 20 holes. I still have them... 23 years later.

But... Have you ever seen Fluevogs?

I was curious, so I went to that site. And I found these as the first item listed under Women's Boots. They're so cute!

Quick, someone buy them, so I can admire them some more.
