Ok, I HAVE to find out the name, lyrics and origin of this Scottish lullaby. I used to sing it to ALL of my children when I'd rock them to sleep, but I learned it from my Scottish mother in law, from my first marriage.
The best hint I can give you is to write it phonetically. Here goes.
We just called it: "Shoo Dee Bah Bah"
Shoo dee bah bah my Danny Alec
Shoo dee bah bah my Danny boy
When daddy grows old and feeble and gray
Danny Alec will drive the horses
From Garve to Ullapool
I could always get my babies to sleep with this lullaby and I was trying to find the origin and official name of it. Otherwise I'm gonna go crazy.
Thanks for any help.
