Interesting topic.

Some of those titles are just a bit off. Normally we don't correct spelling here, but in this case, I want to facilitate anyone who wants to look some of these up, so here's the same list with a little editing, some IMDB links, and my comments, for whatever that's worth.

The Ambulance
Could be The Ambulance(1990) with Eric Roberts, or
Ambulance(2005), a Danish thriller (looks interesting).

A Clockwork Orange (1971). Maybe Kubrick's best movie (although 2001 is my favorite). Still has an impact.

Hobo With a Shotgun (2011). Part of a recent fad for making movies that deliberately look like low-budget violent thrillers of the 1960s and early '70s.

Moon(2009). I really like this one. Some brain-engaging science fiction (if you accept a couple of extremely unlikely elements). Excellent performance by Sam Rockwell, and also by Kevin Spacey as a robot.

Eagle vs Shark(2007). Looks interesting.

The Rage in Placid Lake(2003). Don't know anything about this, but it's Australian, so that's already a leg up in the weird department. (One that comes to mind is Love Serenade (1996).)

Cennipead Man
Don't know what this is. Do you mean The Human Centipede? I'm not even going to link to that.

Mind Warp

Is that this one? The Brain Machine (1977). Apparently a variant title is Mind Warp. (Lots of movies go by different titles in different markets.)

Requiem for a Dream (2000). Said to be great. I've never watched it just because I find heroin addiction such a depressing subject.

Mulholland Dr. (2001). Great movie. Once you sort of figure out what the hell it is. I had to read three different essays before this flick made any sense to me.

Memento (2000). Great flick; holds up well.

(Why is it so often misspelled as "Momento"? "Mem", as in "memory"; in this case it's about a guy with anterograde amnesia. (Not "short-term memory loss". His short-term memory works fine.))

Snatch

Septua

Lawn Dogs

Squid vs Whale

The Mothman Prophecies

Tucker and Dale vs Evil (2010). Funny reversal of a slasher-movie formula. Worth listening to the DVD commentary track, too.

Joe versus the Volcano (1990). Really like this one. Offbeat comedy; deserves to be seen more.

American Psycho

Brazil (1985). Probably still Terry Gilliam's best movie.

El Popo

Manos: The Hands of Fate (1966). Hard to describe how bad this is. I don't know if I could make it through the movie sober. Hilarious on MST3K.

Shortbus (2006). Interesting. Part gay porn, part an intriguing indie picture about relationships.

The Killing Jar (2010). Hm; looks like it could be interesting. What happened to Michael Madsen's career? Always liked him.

Cannibal! The Musical (1993). This involved Trey Parker and Matt Stone, pre-South Park.

Rubber (2010). Absurdist meta-fiction about a homicidal tire. And ... that's about it. I guess you can pick out layers of satirical meaning.

Gummo

Y Tu Mama Tambien (2001). Good movie. Poignant, sexy, socially conscious ... not sure I'd call it weird.

Here's one I like: Six-String Samurai (1998). Rock-n-roll in the wasteland after 1957's World War III.

Tucker and Dale Vs Evil is such a brilliant premise I can't believe it wasn't made until 2010. For anyone who doesn't know (very mild spoilers outlining the premise ahead) it's a slasher / comedy where a group of teens venture into the woods and come across a couple of stereotypical (as far as movies go), menacing and presumably murderous backwoods locals. Only it turns out our "psycho redneck" villains are actually a couple of friendly dudes who mean the teenagers no harm, but through a series of misunderstandings, mishaps and unforeseeable malice, they end up scaring the kids into thinking they're the kind of murderous hillbillies you see in horror movies. The teenagers then decide to try to "fight back" and, well, hilarity ensues. Highly recommended.

To add from Manuel Royal's list. El Topo is a trippy western by Alejandro Jodorowsky from the early 70's. Odd mix-mash from religious symbolism and Old West paraphernalia. Either a great psychodelic trip torwards illumination or an arrogant bunch of gratitious sex and violence.

Brillig in the slithy toves...
Ed and His Dead Mother.

It was on the "Recommended by Staff" shelf back when Blockbuster had such things, so I picked it up. I never looked at the staff quite the same way after.

Also. I want to see this movie RIGHT NOW.

At eighteen, I've seen a few of these with or without my parents. Some aren't that weird. They're just odd.

Not in any certain order: I only ask that if you watch these movies don't watch them on your main TV or have any kids around...............

The Ambulance
Clockwork Orange -- Watched when I was 13. Weird, but interesting.
Hobo W Shotgun
Moon
Shark vs Eagle
The Rage in Placid Lake
Cennipead Man
Mind Warp
Requiem of a Dream -- Tried watching it a few weeks ago. Couldn't get into it or the book.
Mulhulland Drive
Momento -- I love this movie.
Snatch
Septua
Lawn Dogs
Squid vs Whale -- The Squid and the Whale. I read the script. Thought it was overrated.
The Mothman Prophecies
Dale and Tucker vs Evil
Joe vs the Valcano
American Psycho -- Started the book. Couldn't get into it.
Brasil -- Started watching with my parents. Thought it was weird.
El Popo
Manos The hand of Fate
Short Bus
The Killing Jar
Cannibal The Musical
Rubber
Gummo
Y Tu Mama Tambien -- It was okay. Not as bad as people make it out to be.

More --

The Girl Next Door (not as creepy as people make it out to be)
The Human Centipede (rather lame and cheesy)
Kick-ass (surprisingly, I liked it)
Heathers (loved it)
Being John Malkovitch (couldn't get into it but it's interesting)
Pi (couldn't get into it)

Tucker and Dale VS Evil was brilliant. Easily one of my favorite movies of the last few years, and I can't stand slasher films. It reminded me of Shaun of the Dead. So I guess that means I can watch "fake" horror.

Hobo With a Shotgun I didn't care for. I thought I would because of my experiences with the other two, but for whatever reason it was just not funny to me. I think it's because the gore was supposed to be the funny part, and it wasn't, whereas in SotD and T&DvsE the humor was in the absurdity of the situation. ETA: I must amend this and say that the "Hobo stops begging, demands change!" line cracked me up.

Yeah, I wouldn't put Hobo with a Shotgun on the same level than Moon, A Clockwork Orange or Brazil is ANY list.

Some weird movies I've enjoyed:

Tommy
Sins of the Fleshapoids
Forbidden Zone
Schizopolis
Naked Lunch
Videodrome

Hobo With A Shotgun only comes off weird if you're not Canadian.

If you're Canadian, it makes perfect sense, particularly the song during the closing credits.

Psychos in Love: A strip-joint owner and a manicurist find that they have many things in common, the foremost being that they are psychotic serial killers. They fall in love and are happy being the family that slays together, until one day they come up against a plumber who also happens to be a cannibal.

Once you've heard the truth, everything else is ju
eXistenZ (wherin David Cronenburg out-Matrixes the Matrix; I think that's the spelling; could be wrong)

The Incredibly Strange People Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed-Up Zombies (yes, that's the title)

Phase IV (ants become sentient)

Horrors of Spider Island (ditto these guys)

Doctor Otto and the Riddle of the Gloom Beam (Jim Varney NOT doing his Ernest P. Worrell act)

Andy Warhol's Frankenstein (pretty to look at but suffering from script anorexia)

All That Jazz (featuring Ben Vereen dressed up as Mister Death, dancing around the operating table where Roy Scheider as Bob Fosse is undergoing open-heart surgery, with real footage inserted ... and they say Hollywood no longer knows how to make a good old fashioned family musical!)

And oh, so many more ...

Whoa! How come I never came across this? I have to check this out. It sounds good.

The Incredibly Strange People Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed-Up Zombies If only the movie were as creative as the title. Catch it on MST3K.

Phase IV Actually a fairly interesting movie

All That Jazz I almost put this on my list. Best part - Sandahl Bergman topless.

The Incredibly Strange People Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed-Up Zombies (yes, that's the title)

I found that movie hilarious on MST3K. One of my favorite episodes ever.

I think the most confusing movie I've ever seen is The Attic Expeditions. I probably watched it when I was 15 or so. I don't remember much except that I was very confused.
