someplace around here, anyone seen my keys?
Anyone posting anything special for the holidays? Anyone have any special links to blogs with something different to say or just really good holiday messages in them?

I hope you are all taking peeks at the AW blogs when you can - there is so much good stuff on them. I try to get to as many as I can each week and post comments if they're not too irrelevant...

I'm so happy to be part of this forum and this community. It's a great holiday gift to me to be here with you all.

Season's Greetings from Dawno

I found this one: Ivory Tower.

I thought it was kind of cool. I had actually gotten two e-cards like the ones on this site - Chudleigh's Christmas and Get It Together for Christmas.

I posted in my last one until after the holidays a couple of recipes for Microwave Peanut Brittle and Patties. BTW, I think I may have gone a little overboard in this weeks AWMondayMeme. I was just feeling a little creative and thought it needed some smilies.

Oh and Southern Gal Goes North did a couple of Christmassy posts. One was about themed Christmas trees and the other was a virtual Secret Santa project.

I've been posting at least one holiday-related link every day this month as sort of "treat in the Advent calendar" deal. I've tried to post a variety of things to make the countdown to Christmas more festive, including decorations for your computer (mostly for the Mac), ecards, recipes, downloadable music, crafts etc. I hope people find at least one thing that makes them smile.

My Road Less Traveled blog (just the Christmas posts).

Happy Holidays!

(and Dawno, extra Christmas cookies to you for moderating the blogging board. I've found lots of interesting blogs by AWers. Thanks!)

I've been meaning to post a proper pic of my xmas tree but haven't gotten around to it yet! I think that's about as special as it will get at my blog ;-)

Merry Wishmas to all! xx

Wicked Thoughts has a number of holiday satire posts - the first post is a unkind if you're sensitive about psychological disorders, so you may want to just hit the permalink on this one:

THE TWELVE POLITICALLY CORRECT DAYS OF THE WINTER SOLSTICE HOLIDAY

Weirdest Wonderland
- pictures of holiday scenes that just went a bit too far.

National Lampoon: The Ten Least Succesful Holiday Specials of All Time
Although this post isn't on a blog, the author John Scalzi is a blogger, writer and all around interesting fellow.

Another non-blog site that I found via a blog link A Christmas Story...in 30 seconds, with bunnies (yeah, I have this thing about bunnies)

OK, I've done my share - anyone else found anything?

I've been posting on my "Mama Says" blog
www.milehimama.blogspot.com

Started a "Less is More" Christmas club - 2 posts so far, and more to come, about celebrating Christmas (and Advent) with less stuff and more memories.

The posts are named "The Goose is Getting Fat" (12 ways to a No Cost Christmas) and the other one posted on Nov. 3.

Here's another one - they post gift ideas, etc.

I've not done any holiday posts; I suppose I could, though. Maybe a poem or a short short about either Thanksgiving or Christmas. I honestly don't know.

If I do write something, it is almost certainly understood that I will be writing something in the Fantasy sub-genre, and possibly about dragons. You all know the dragon fanatic that I am; I can't leave the subject alone in my writing.

Anyway, I might just write something up on the typewriter and transcribe it to the computer, just for the sake of celebrating the Holidays. It sounds like a good idea to me.

Thanks for the thread; I don't think I would have thought about this without it!
