View Full Version : Demagnetizing ferritic ring magnets

I understand these are difficult to demagnetize.

I can't use heat.

Can provide strong magnetic fields, flux, possibly even a concentrated EMP do the job?

How typically would these be generated? AC, DC currents? Any links you could direct me that could explain this?

Thank you! (I'd been googling 'ferritic ring magnets') The reverse field above the coercivity should do the trick.
