You've all seen this, of course, haven't you? (make sure your sound is on)

Anyone have any OTHER annoying-internet songs that aren't from rathergood.com?

My daughter (she's 15, not a little kid) loves this song and has it on her My Space site. She loves it and says its the coolest song.
My 13-year old thinks the Hamster-Dance song is so cool and she'll go around the house singing it - just to annoy me.

I have the Hamster Dance song memorized, from way back before HamsterDance.com was almost a full business, when it was just one page with some animated hamsters and that damn song. I still sing it, on occasion.

There is also this wonderful video.

Pee Dee!

My kids are going to ask for that song until I tell them it exploded!

They busted me dancing to it just now.

My work here is done, then. :D

Help me. mama! Help me! Make the voices stop!

Honestly, I've never seen/heard anything like these before. I...I...I...know I'm going to regret this, but can somebody link me to the ... hamsters, please? I wanna see the hamsters, too.

Just for you, madam, I have gone out and hunted and found:

The very first version. Before the interactive, before the techno remix of the song, before any of that. This is what was there. :D

(The song, unfortunately, no longer plays automatically. But there is a "Help! I can't hear the music!" link at the bottom that will play it for you, when clicked.)

Here's a site that has it synchronized: http://www.webhamster.com/

I remember when I first heard the music from Hampster Dance--I thought it was very familiar. Moments later I realized it was a sped up version of Roger Miller's "Whistle Stop," which is the opening music for Disney's Robin Hood animated film, my favorite "classic" Disney film. It was played at about double the speed for the Hampster Dance.

That's my favorite old Disney movie. Unless we can count Aladdin as an old Disney movie.

I did not know that about the Hamster Dance... :)

(And part of my problem with the music is, I suspect, that I loaded the pages in Firefox. They both played properly in IE)

My kids loved the links you've all posted. Actually, the hamster dance does not annoy me, I just pretend like it does because my kids find it so funny for me to react that way. Problem is, now I can't get it out of my head!!!!

Ok, but does anybody know what the "badger badger badger..." thing comes from? I've seen it (written) in a couple of places & was wondering if it came w/ a song or something. ("mushroom" may be on the end of a series of "badgers"...)

We're banana phone fans at my house. Oh darn. Now that song's stuck in my head again.

12-17-2005, 03:24 PM
Oh, no!Where's the link to the banana phone? I've been waiting for you to show up and post it. Please, just one more peek at the banana phone...for old times sake?

I have no idea why singing & dancing badgers tickle me so, but they do!

(yes, I am easily amused)

(I saved it this time!)

Oh man, hamster dance. Brings back the memories. Sniff, sniff. Good times, good times.

My roomie & I have had much fun watching the llamas, badgers, & frog. The banana phone song we've heard before in a clip where everytime someone heard that song they died. But I think the llamas are our favorite.

I hadn't found the Axel F Crazy Frog video online before, that was cool.

But the WOW meets Porn was the coolest. My 6-year-old inner child giggled happily, and so did my older outside.

(My wife was not as deeply amused.)

This is a bit of a download, but by and large worth it. Very funny. See if you can get all the movies/shows in there. :)

I have no idea why singing & dancing badgers tickle me so, but they do! It's because they're interactive - odular...

I have a special place in my heart for the Moon Song. My sister and I still leave each other messages singing that song at the top of our lungs. It's the CHOPSTICK! that gets me every time. (I actually have it linked from my site.)

O.M.G. I took me forever to escape from Llama Llama Duck. I couldn't make it stop. I'm still bouncing in my chair to it.

Oh Lord. That's gonna be in my head for days!!!

Great. Like I didn't have enough to distract me from writing, I had to click on this thread...

And ended up laughing hysterically! I'd actually seen a couple of these before; I live in Maine, where all 7th and 8th graders are assigned laptop computers by the public schools, and the kids at the middle school where I substitute regularly find sites like Albino BlackSheep and play the songs when they're supposed to be using their laptops for other purposes...

I went to albinoblacksheep.com for the first time. Now my day is shot. Sheesh. :)

I LOVE the Llama Song! Any fans of the tv show 'Lost' may also be familiar with a similar song called 'The Sawyer Song'
