So, I submitted that story that I posted here in October to a contest my university's national literary journal was holding and I won! I have submitted a few other stories since October, but that was the first one that I started shopping around. The prize is $100 plus two contributor's copies. I guess that would make this my first sale.

School has been a bit hectic lately, hence my absence, but once that quiets down, I plan on hopefully returning the favor to others.
