Amazon's "Short Story Plan"?

I know it has been discontinued, but to put it simple: after investing some time reading trough the FAQs and whatnot, I wasn't able to find a "min word count" anywhere, so I was wondering: did Amazon's "Short Story Plan" was somehow moved/integrated to their Kindle deal? If it was, does it mean I can still self-publish short stories via Amazon?

As far as I know, and I know up through December, 2011, you can still publish short stories via KDP on Amazon.
