Bristol Blackburn has always been more comfortable with the ghosts that float in and out of her life than anyone with an actual post. She always kept to herself. Best way to avoid letting everyone know you're a sixteen-year-old freak who talks to ghosts and get visions of the future.
All that's about to change when she finally meets Payne McKnight, face to face. It's not the first time she's seen him. He's been the star of hundreds of Bristol's visions since she was little. Mostly, he seems to find someway to get himself hurt. Sometimes through acts of heroism, sometimes just through sheer stupidity. Often it seems like there's someone who just likes to hurt him.
But in many visions, Bristol has seen herself with Payne. Most of those visions have Payne falling in love with. But in one vision that's kept repeating in her mind since she was little girl, she sees nothing but hatred and contempt in his eyes, as he wraps his hands around her throat and slowly strangles the life out of her.
So now that Bristol has met the literal boy of her dreams, she's waiting to see if he's going to be the love of his life, or if he's going to murder her.
The funny part is, Bristol has no idea which possibility scares her more.
