I know around here Kindle fire has been advertised like no one's business. I say as long as books are selling yay! Although I have been going the epub route so it is good news

I;d say that we're going to see higher figures over the next couple of days as the folks who got a kindle for Xmas figure out how to use them. This week, between Christmas and New Year is going to be quite telling in terms of downloads.

Amazon.com has said Christmas Day was the "biggest ever day for Kindle book downloads," with two of its top four bestselling 2011 titles being self-published ones.
The online giant announced that US customers purchased "well over 1m Kindle devices per week" throughout December, with Kindle Fire its Amazon.com bestseller, followed by Kindle Touch at number two, and the Kindle at number three.
