I saw this today! What an empowering moment in our history! A Sailor to get a first kiss ticket (which is a long standing tradition in the Navy), but one who is a Lesbian! Way to go! I'm so happy for the both of them!
Reminds me of that iconic photo from after WW2 that was reinvisioned in the Watchmen movie (along these lines)...

Did you see the interview with the Marine Capt serving in Afghanistan? He said he was gay, that his unit was well aware of it and, get this...No one cared!
They also interviewed members of his unit who had nothing but praise for their Capt.
