Just about seven or eight months ago we found out my 15yo cat, Jewels, who I've had since I was little (I'm 22 now), would have to be put to sleep because she had severe stomach cancer.

She was my Christmas present 15 years ago.

I miss her so much. :(

This one, for reasons I cannot understand, absolutely LOVED saltines.

So every time I got chili from Wendy's, we would nom on crackers together.

And Tostitos.

And when I was really little she'd let me use her as a pillow. :)

:) That's too cute. Is that her in your av? She does look like a tiger. Got any other pics of her?

<- is my mare, Zoomer, who I lost around this time a few years ago. It's tough when they are gone.

No, my avatar pic is Venti, a rescue Bengal we picked up from our garage 5 years ago.

This is Jewels:

I'm so sorry. :( I remember my best friend calling me and telling me her cat died an early death...at the very least, you have a lot of memories and good times with your kitty.

Aww, she's a fuzzywoogums. Has she actually got a white toe, or is that a trick of the light?

I'm so sorry you lost her.

That's her claw. :)

She had a white belly though.

Which I used to pat and call her "Fatty McButterCat"

...That is, up until she hit me so hard my glasses fell off.

:Hug2:Oh, I sympathize. Jewels looks virtually identical to my cat. I had to put her down a year ago. She was fifteen. One of the hardest things I've ever had to do. She used to climb my Christmas tree.

Canada, actually. But I swear, the cats could be siblings.:) Did Jewels "talk?" Mine was like a Siamese. She never stopped.

She mostly honked, hissed, and growled.

I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty. I lost my dear, crabby old girl to stomach cancer this year. It's horrid. Big hugs.

I'm sorry for your loss. These little squirts get under our skin and snuggle into our souls, don't they? May your sweet memories of her bring you peace.

I'm so sorry for your loss. The fuzzy beasts have a way of snuggling into your heart, don't they?

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know exactly how you feel. I lost my Parker several years ago. I still have dreams about him.

The pain will fade, though. Just focus on the great memories.

I'm so sorry for your loss! I lost my own kitty, also a fifteen year old, a few months ago to renal failure. He was my best friend growing up, and I'm still finding little things that just aren't the same without him.

Hang in there, and enjoy the company of your other pets. You'll always have the memories.
