OK, folks. I was thinking (supposedly about my WIP, but we won't go there) and I thought:
How cool would it be to have a get-together with all my brothers and sisters from Absolute Write.
So I figured I'd bring it up to
1- See if anybody else was partial to the idea. (Some of the personalities displayed here might be too much for some in the flesh.)
2- Try to figure out when. What time of year would be best etc. (Some of us need to know a timeframe beforehand so we can inform our parole officers.)
3- Try to figure out where. What would be a good location for a bunch like this to physically meet at (I mean, can they handle it? What type of disaster plan do they have? And should FEMA be notified beforehand or should we just let them take their chances and respond as best they can)
4- If there are any Writer's Conventions or Book Expos we can coincide this possible meet with. This way we all have something to do during the day and something to talk about at night. Plus it would make the trip even more valuable and cost-effective. Hell, some might even be able to write the whole thing off on their taxes. (Plus, I need to have something to tell the judge when I ask to have my ankle home detention bracelet removed. I sure can't tell him I'm going to go to a massive Partay!)
So, would anybody be interested? Any ideas, if so?
