I've been "fired" for specific reasons, but I was never made aware that my performance was not meeting expectations... nor was I given the opportunity to correct the issues.

I can't fight it, because I was on contract. So they're just not renewing my contract. But they had originally asked me to stay until summer of 2012. So it feels like they kicked me in the groin.

On the bright side, one of my playscripts has been selected for production next year. So that's always good.

Well, congratulations on the good news.

The playwriting forum is not particularly active here, but there are a few of us with an interest in plays.

At least your resume is getting better. You are not officially fired and your play is on.

Yeah. But I really haven't found a very active playwriting forum anywhere. And I like the diverse writing interests on this forum.
