Somewhere just beyond that place, that's next door
I want to take some old letters that were written in the early twentiest-century as a collection but I want the letters in one font while my writing another that will describe the people and what happened to them. I wanted to put this on Smashword.

It's been done before in fiction and non-fiction, so I don't see why not. As long as you're consistent, the fonts are easily read and compliment each other there should be no problems.

As far as I can tell, e-reader hardware will generally ignore your fonts and use the font selected by the user. It's basically out of your control so if you're targeting e-book rather than print you should probably consider another method of conveying that information.
