The website of erotic romance author Victoria Blisse has been attacked by some kind of web vigilantes and the homepage now reads "OCCUPY perverts. We believe in a family friendly web free of filth." She's trying to get this sorted out with the host right now.

This is an alarming development. Who are these people to decide who is a pervert? What is it about Victoria's work they're objecting to? She's done m/m as well as m/f romance. Is it the m/m they object to? Or is it erotica in general? Why attack an author of erotic romance when the net is chock full of actual pornography? I don't think kids are going around buying erotic romance novels to get their thrills. Is her site simply an easy target, compared to porn sites or the sites of the erotic romance publishers?
And are they completely bonkers to imagine the internet could ever be "family friendly"? The internet at large is not a place where unsupervised children should be allowed to roam, any more than a nightclub is.
Now I wonder if this is someone who's taken against Victoria in particular and decided to attack her site. Or is it part of a campaign that will see more of us writers of erotic romance targeted? A revolting development and something to watch out for happening again to others.
