I felt bad for this poor lonely thread

so I went downstairs and licked my goldfish.

Lucky goldfish. I would have eaten it.

I've become a convert. We have thick slabs of yellowfin tuna, dusted with pan-searing flour and cooked in a skillet with a dab of olive oil until both sides are lightly browned on the outside and cooked a quarter of the way in, leaving the center fully pink, whenever we can afford it. It's as good as going out to dinner, except for the ambiance. A Halloween placemat spotted with dried milk detracts a little, but it was still a great meal.

Does anyone else think of Blinky everytime they see this thread?

(I know they found a real one in South America but the Simpsons one is cuter!)

These days I just get the cans of sardines or mustard herring, 'cause I'm a bachelor like that :D They say it's very good for energy, but I haven't noticed a difference. You can't believe everything you read in the dime bookstore cooking section, I guess.
I'd love to get a whole fish and make risotto. Yum!

I actually thought Silver King would come along and post a fish photo, but I guess he's slipping lately.

I see them every time I go down in my bug room.

But don't ask me to eat them. Most types of fish make me heave my guts out for twenty four hours.
I'm not taking my chances on the pretty ornamental ones.

In that case, I should post at least one.

The teens in this shot never dreamed they'd have such a good time fishing instead of hanging out with their boyfriends that night and getting into trouble.

I'm the handsome guy behind the camera who took the picture in almost complete darkness:

That's a cool picture!
Thanks.

It was a fun night. The girls tag-teamed the fish for almost an hour, handing the rod off to each other every few minutes or so. They screamed a lot and laughed and worked pretty hard to land that fish.

When it was finally brought into the boat, I questioned whether there was enough light to take photos. I also preferred releasing the fish right then, as it was still quite healthy and flopping around on deck.

I was voted down and took a few shots, which took a couple of seconds each to process due to a lack of lighting.

Afterward, we tried to revive the fish and let it go, but it had died and sank out of sight.

There comes a time in most fishing related threads in this room when I must post my favorite image, this one of me and my youngest boy taken a few years ago:
