Calling all animal lovers

A friend of mine has been doing some work in The Pas, a small town in Northern Manitoba, Canada. One of the things that has disturbed him most is the sheer number of abandoned dogs on the streets. A group has formed to construct an animal shelter (there currently isn't one). They are trying to get money through a community fund and desperately need votes.
