Dan Wheldon Killed at Las Vegas

I've been watching on ABC. The rest of the race has been cancelled, the drivers will do a 5 lap tribute to Wheldon. The announcement from Indycar said he died from unsurvivable injuries.

This is sad. He was so young! RIP Dan Wheldon.

THIS. They replayed the crash. 15 cars. Just mass hysteria unlike anything I've seen at Indy.

My heart goes out to his family.

That's hard. RIP.

Apparently some drivers were concerned before the race that having so many cars on a tight track was dangerous. Well, looks like they were right.

I happened to be in Downtown St. Pete the day of the funeral, and I couldn't believe the number of people that were there. I honestly thought it was some sort of event/concert/etc. until I found out later it was his funeral.
