Smashwords formatting & OpenOffice??

Has anyone used OpenOffice to format for Smashwords or should I reinstall Word so I don't have to go at it blind??

I'm thinking of putting something up as a test.

Thanks for the replies. I looked around the web and found several user-made templates to pass Smashwords 'meatgrinder'. I downloaded one so I'm hoping it works.

But I still reinstalled Word just to make sure the format looked okay.
