It's about Michael, a young man who is abducted off the street by a cult. They've conducted several ritualistic killings, each meant to give them supernatural powers. But when they botch their latest ritual, Michael ends up with the power instead. The bulk of the story is about him as he struggles to go on with his life with his new ability, as he fights off the cult.
