Yeah, it seems common to blame internet. Nearly every article I read blame facebook.
I suppose it's convenient for the parents of the bullies, and for the parents that don't give a toss one way or another until their own children become victims, to point to facebook and claim it is responsible.
That's the easy way after all. 100% of the blame is portioned on either the bullies themselves, or on facebook. Not on the parents of the bullies, or on the elected officials of that district that turn a blind eye because of political considerations, or on the churches that preach intolerance, or on the churchgoers that contribute to the churches that preach intolerance, or the adults that vote in the timid local politicians.
Unless someone sues the snot out a district like this, and include everyone - from town hall to the schoolboard and the teachers - nothing will change, I'm afraid. We'll only have more Pontius Pilates washing their hands all over the place, blaming Facebook.
