Hi. I need to create a book cover and I was wondering if anyone here knows of a good, free, build-your-own book cover type website.

I have no idea, but I suspect nothing good is free. Or maybe I'm just jaded...

Our own Gale Haut is doing a diy Ebook cover tutorial here: http://absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=223734

The tutorial isn't done yet, but this would be your best bet to learn to do it yourself without a website's help.

Not true. Linux is free and I consider it better than both Windows and Mac. :D

Back on topic, though, I think you'll be better off creating your own through either Photoshop or Gimp.

This. You can hire someone to do too, if that's in your budget.

If you're trying to do it for free, search for free stock photos online. (Just makes sure you check their terms of use, some photographers let you do whatever you want, others have limits.)

Okay. I thought there were build-your-own book cover sites out there.

I'm not aware of any, MysteryRiter.

However, you might go to fiverr.com (http://fiverr.com/) and see what somebody there creates. Worst case, you're out five bucks, so it might be worth a try.

Createspace has a cover builder built into the publication process.

But their are options are limited and their stock is extremely over used.
