Travel Tips for Oregon Coast anyone???

Hi Guys, I'm looking for any tips or must see's (or must avoid's) for a drive up the Oregon coast that I'm doing with my family in early October. I'd appreciate any and all suggestions!

I'd second Newport, the aquarium there is scary good. This time a year you should be able to avoid the huge crowds, I remember really liking Seaside, it is like a carnival. And if you are going that far up, Astoria is pretty cool...it is where the filmed Goonies!

Thanks for the links and suggestions, guys. We're going North to South, so I'll be sure to stop in Asotria. We wanted to book hotels in advance, so we're trying to get sorted out where exactly is worth staying overnight.

Right now we're thinking - Seaside, Lincoln City, Newport, Florence and Bandon.

Anyone know these places and if any should be removed from the list?

I personally love Astoria, Seaside, Lincoln City, and Newport, all for different reasons. I don't know much about the other two, but probably because they are too far down. If it is in Oregon, I am sure it will be great.
