1) Mimosa is not spelt Mamosa.
2) What a Mimosa is. (Champagne and orange juice - sounds good)

A Mimosa is (or was) a trendy brunch cocktail among a certain crowd in the US. Popular at art shows and that sort of thing.

There are also Mimosa trees, which can be invasive if you let them.

I love the smell of mimosa blossoms. :)

Things I found out today:
1) <html> <head> </head> </html> is called nesting.
2) My son knows way more math than I ever will.

Things I found out today:

1. If someone has just used the toaster, when you use it next, it will burn the bread due to residual heat.

2. I'm not fully functional until the first sip of my 3rd coffee.

I'll add another humorous mimosa fact: in England they don't call a mimosa a mimosa, they call it a "Bucks Fizz", which sounds far less sophisticated.

Something I learned today in the second grade class where I worked, in answer to the discussion question "What is an experiment?": "An experiment is a kind of mint plant." Just let it sink in for a second...

Things I learned today

1) I am easily amused
2) People have far more interesting things to add to this thread than I do :(

And I would eat those mints too.

2. I'm not fully functional until the first sip of my 3rd coffee.

Me either!

Things I found out today:

1. If you stop drinking any fluids 30 minutes before you eat your meals (provided your meals have plenty of protein) and refrain from fluids for 30 minutes after, the protein stays in your belly longer, therefore, keeping you full longer.

2. I love mocha nut chocolate coffee. Or something like that. It's incredible with a couple packets of Splenda...off to get my third cup here pretty soon.

3. I just found out that the Director's Retirement party will cost me $55 to attend - with a cash bar on top of that. My husband won't want to go (and spend another $55? no way!), but I've worked for the Director for too long not to go. You know how it works. This sucks, sucks, sucks.

I found out today that the mayor of my town works late into the evening and gets things done. I should have complained sooner.
