OMG, I think I just had a geekgasm!

And these are only going to get faster and more accurate over time, as well as incorporating new materials.

Coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really, really want to play with one of those. Only problem is, I'm a bit worried what stupid things I would copy.

Sometimes I like to photocopy my hands, just for a laugh, imagine what sort of mischief I could get up to with a 3D printer. Actually, don't think about that. I forbid you to think about it.

Pretty cool demo. A basic spanner that's useable as a tool would have been impressive enough, but an adjustable spanner with moving parts, that aren't made separately and then assembled, wow.

I saw the great-grandfather of this technology maybe 20+ years ago when a "printer" cut and stuck resin layers together to construct 3D objects, once they cooled they were solid plastic bricks.
