I'm currently in the process of rewriting a novel that was previously for adults into something for young adults. It's completely new territory for me and I was hoping someone experienced in this category could help take a look at the first three chapters and tell me how I'm doing.

I really appreciate the help!

Here's a small summary of the story. (It's still in the works as I revise...)

Story:
On a midnight trip to Central Park to get the location to their next safehouse, the Temple family is brutally murdered. Only the sixteen-year-old Lainey escapes. Friends turn into foes and those she once thought were enemies help keep her alive. But time is running short as armies are on the rise. And her blood holds the secret to destroy the devas before another war destroys humanity.

I'm interested. I have a YA fantasy first four chapters finished. Would you be interested to swap chapters?
