The original thread seems to have disappeared, when I tried to return to it it asked for password and it didn't appear in the search . . .

Has anyone been watching this? Is it good? I've seen some footage and I like the style, and the character bios and setting seem pretty cool too.
I forgot about it though and right now I'm trying to see when else it plays so I can catch up. (ETA: None live, but found some online.)

P.S. Does anyone recognize this awesome music from the CN page (http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/tv_shows/thundercats/index.html)? It sounds awfully familiar, like something from Two Steps From Hell or Audiomachine, etc.

I never watched the original, so I can't do comparisons, but I tuned into this one and I'm liking it.

About the biggest and possibly only change I can see is Lion-o is now a younger man/teenager.

It's pretty good. My husband likes to watch it and I've caught it with him a few times. It's definitely a children's show though.

I asked my husband and he said she's still bodacious...

Yep. And honestly, that's probably its biggest problem. The visual style and storyline they have are good, but they would work better with say, a PG-13 rating. Something that would let the show be a bit more brutal in its display and a bit more mature in its content and messages.

At first you think this image is being risque with the original design. (http://slugbox.deviantart.com/art/Cheetara-253703049)

A little, but not very much:

I grew up on the old one and saw a couple of new episodes and all I can say is...

WOW

Great writing and you can definitely see the anime influence.

It does a decent job of appealing to all age groups while still maintaining a decent script.

its leaps and bounds better than the original, no question

Yeah, but we have our animated shows. Shouldn't the kiddies have theirs, too?

They have My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (which is better IMO). Everyone has MLP: FiM.
(To be clear, I think Thundercats 2011 is still a pretty good show, need to see the whole series before I can say more than that.)

But I'm not saying the show should have been made for an older audience from the outset. I just don't think they have the proper story for a show that isn't going to be for an older audience (or at least how the rating world perceives its audiences).

I just watched episode 1 On Demand yesterday. I like how it's true to the old style but yet is modern in it's own way, too. Is the voice of Lion-O's dad the original Lion-O? That's what it sounded like, at least.
