Got a blog? Please feel free to share the link and a short description of it in this thread.

Sure. http://www.richardcobbett.co.uk/codex/journal. It's been running for about four years now, across a few domain names, although I tend to cull posts that get too old and meaningless. Determinedly angst-free, with plenty of good old fashioned bitching to make up for it, with a mix of general diary stuff, pokes at new releases, random rants and other fairly staple stuff. This is the single most popular article on it (http://www.richardcobbett.co.uk/codex/journal/filingcabinet/tomb_raider_vs_erotic_raider/), and I weep for humanity as a result.

Mine is just a series of random ramblings, concentrating on the writing life, my spiritual journey and whatever thoughts pop into my head at any given moment.

I hope it amuses people; I think that's my main aim. To show that I can see the funny side of life, but also treat the serious issues with respect, too.

My blog is a mix of random thoughts, a little writing advice, and updates on my work progress. The name of it is WVWriterGirl - The Daily Word Count (http://wvwritergirl.tripod.com/WordCount/).The comments are activated, and I would be very pleased if someone...anyone...saw fit to comment on my blog. Thanks!

(ETA - I must admit that, even though it says "Daily Word Count" I usually update it only when there's something significant going on, which turns out to be somewhat less than daily.)

My blog is NVNC ID VIDES, NVNC NE VIDES (http://www.dawnonowyouseeit.blogspot.com) The name comes from the motto of Terry Pratchett's Unseen University in the Discworld books. It allegedly means "Now you see it, now you don't" in Latin. I say allegedly because I don't know Latin.

I started that blog because I was reading a couple other Blogger blogs and thought, in one, that I couldn't comment unless I was on Blogger, too. I'm glad to have made that mistake, because I love being able to play around in the template. Also, I seem to get random traffic from the "next blog" feature. For me blogging is a way to have conversations and make a habit of writing. Although I don't get to write every day I'm certainly writing more than ever. Yes, it's a hobby, but who knows?

I also have my own domain, "ohdawno.org (http://www.ohdawno.org)" and there's a blog there as well which I pretty much abandoned when I went over to Blogger. Some of my archives might be of interest if you're bored silly and maybe have insomnia, feel free to visit there. I have written about my fast food curse, my son's pet skink, visits to the Star Trek Con in Las Vegas and other random stuff. Comments are mostly disabled because of rampant comment spam.

I have two: Southern Expressions (http://southern21.blogspot.com/) and Ghost Stories (http://paranormalstories.blogspot.com/).

Southern Expressions is a blog about my personal and writing life.

Ghost Stories is a paranormal blog about ghosts, mythology, folklore, urban legends and other paranormal phenomena.

I'm sure mine will end up being a mixed bag but as of now www.ladyofprose.blogspot.com (http://www.ladyofprose.blogspot.com) seemed like a good place to start.

Defining the difference between aloneness and loneliness is a rare thing for some. Yet it is important that one know the difference, and adapt their lifestyle accordingly. If not, they will find themselves in multiply relationships trying to fill an emptiness that is mistakenly felt to be loneliness.

Lady of Prose, I just read your first post...wow! Revealing, beautiful and thought provoking, inspirational too! I hope others here will go visit. I have three blogs. All three are listed in my signature.

One Writer's Rambles is my personal daily blog. I talk about life, television, my writing, and anything else that comes to my mind that day.

One Couch Critic is my review site. On that site you'll find reviews of many popular television shows, a weekly movie review, and the occasionalmusic or book review.

Thoughts from the Couch is my blog through Media Village, a media website. I'm on their staff of bloggers, and on my blog you will find news bits from the entertainment industry. These are mostly in television, but I cover movies and celebrities news as well.

I also have a fourth fiction blog, Eroticisms, but my fictional muses have been hiding from me lately, so it is a bit dead at the moment.

It looks like my post was lost in the great board migration, so here it is again:

My main blog is The Road Less Traveled (http://thoughtsontheroad.blogspot.com/) , which is basically about stuff I find interesting, with an emphasis on science news, cooking, books, history and music (I know, totally scattershot).

I have four other blogs about my family history; one for the ancestry of each of my grandparents. They probably aren't of general interest, but if you want to check them out, they are linked from my Blogger user profile (http://www.blogger.com/profile/3370604).

Also listed in my Blogger profile is the Atomic Bear Press blog (http://www.atomicbearpress.com/blog/), which my brother writes about comics, creativity and other topics. He has a separate production log (http://www.atomicbearpress.com/comics/log/) about creating the next issue of his self-published comic. I don't post to his blog - I just fix the most egregious typos. I give him a shout out because he is a lurker here at AW - Hi Brian!.

(oh, and I figure that anyone who posts a link to their blog wouldn't mind having it linked to - at least I don't)

There's an Announcement Post at the top of the forum listing that explains what happened. If you had a post that you are particularly missing and feel it's important to re-create it, I can try to see if it got captured in my Google Desktop cache and send you the info in a PM or email. Please only ask if you feel it's really important to recover the post - also, having an idea about the content (for keywords) and the date you posted will help me find it.

I include quotes that inspire me...poems, quotes from books...and insight that I have about events in my life. It's about things I read and insights I have that make me feel good. It's pretty personal and gives me the chance to write and get comfortable sharing who I am where others can read it.

This is the blog of a 23 year old Christian, divorced, Hispanic journalism student, preacher's kid, and aspiring freelance writer with 4 sisters who ran away from home and dropped school for a year after her father (Baptist minister) abandoned his church and family. Whew!

I have fallen into a bohemian lifestyle since I left home: moving every few months, wandering aimlessly and writing furiously. There is always way too much drama in my life that I am constantly trying to escape.

I originally started this blog to force myself to write every day. But now the writer in me is hungry for an audience. Will you be my audience?

I highly recommend my blog to anyone who is interested in psychological issues. I definitely need therapy.

I created a blog site to showcase my writing, provide some tips, and links to others. I think having a personal site is okay, but it would be much much better if people actually visited. I am trying to get my site out mostly for agents and other writers. I think after I have a couple books published, I probably won't have time to dedicate a lot of effort into blogging.

Here's my blog (http://lostfort.blogspot.com/), The Lost Fort.

Miscellanous musings of a Historical Fiction author: writing woes, history lessons, travel diary, book reviews and some odd stuff. And pics.

I started it in May 2005 and usually post 2-3 times every week.

I also have a LifeJournal (http://www.livejournal.com/users/aulus_poliutos/) which is set to Friends Only. It's mostly about more detailed writing stuff I don't want to share all over the place, some personal stuff, and the occasional meme. LJ users can friend me, I'll friend them back.

I guess I'll introduce my blog here. It's really just a look at my life in the Yukon with my whack of dogs (pseudo-sled dogs). I live in a cabin out in the woods, no running water, I do have power now though (yay!).

I often post our weird little adventures, trips we go on, crazy things that happen - I seem to have my fair share of those! People seem to find it interesting because it's a bit different from the way most people live. Plus, I can relate to my dogs wayyyy too much, like we think on the same level or something - a result of too much time alone living with the dogs I guess! :-)

The blog is here: . C'mon by!!http://www.keeponsledding.blogspot.com

My main blog is A Canadian in King Parakramabahu's Court (http://www.srilanka.laurieashton.com), which is mostly about life in Sri Lanka since I came here 2 1/2 years ago. I tend to comment about cultural differences, challenges in cooking while adapting to Sri Lankan food, bugs & geckos & the lizards living on my roof, and things like that. :) I also have a writing blog (http://www.lmashton.com/), but I don't update it as regularly. I started a blog a while back, but lost steam--no direction. However, a lot of freelance jobs ask specifically to see a blog, so I've started again.

This time I'm just expanding on something that's already part of my site -- linking to actual activities and games I've tried with my kids and found to be fun and educational. As an expat, a homeschooler and former teacher, I've found pages like this to be helpful, so here's my contribution.

If you see anything that's not sort of mainstream (ie., yahooligans), please let me know.

Thanks!

I have been blogging for a week, and I love it! Wordpress rocks, except for when they are doing a major upgrade, like now, and my tabs at the top of my blog, "my published work" and "sites for women writers" disappeared today, but the support folks promise they'll be back up soon. I sure hope so. I list markets for writers on Monday, and I have a link with helpful sites for writers and a blurb about my middle reader. This template was the coolest thing I found. It feels as if it's working as much more than just a blog.

If you want to trade links, let me know.

Steph, I'll admit, (because I have a daughter, too, although she's older) when looked at the title and thought about the age of your daughter, my first thought was that she was getting into 'fashion' and thought it would be about 'polish' as in nailpolish instead of Polish the language. I was so thrilled it was all about learning a new (and to my eyes, difficult) language!

OMG there are a lot of blogs. I'll never manage to read them all. Therefore it is with a slight twinge of guilt that I add my links to the party:

nicole j leboeuf : actually writing blog
http://www.nicolejleboeuf.com/journal/

Premise: I am only allowed to blog if I have written for the day. I am supposed to blog once a day. Therefore I have to write everyday. (Recently it's slacked to five days a week.)

Metroblogging Denver
http://denver.metblogs.com/

Metroblogging New Orleans (guest)
http://neworleans.metblogs.com/

Premise: As at any established Metroblogging site, blog posts have to do with the city the blog is about. I try to post at least twice a week, sometimes more since Denver Metblogs only just started up and has fewer regular bloggers than most of the city cites.

Anyone who likes 'em, feel free to link 'em.

Not wanting to be left out, I also have a blog!

It's only been up and running since the beginning of this week, and is currently just for me to moan about the fact that I'm not getting anywhere with my distance learning course.

I set it up as a sort of journal replacement, because I just can't get into it. I'll be popping in to look at other people's blogs though - I just saw the Weight Watchers cards and nearly fell off the couch laughing! :D

Link to my blog is in the signature (if anyone wants a look - there's not much up there at the moment).

My blog is One Odd Goose (http://oddgoose.blogspot.com), and of course, I am the odd goose. At least, that's how I frequently feel.

I blog on anything that happens to enter my little pea brain. No theme, no reason, just feel like blogging.

...or actually, that of one of my friends...his name is Damien Roth. I help him with the design and daily upkeep of his site.

www.damienroth.com (http://www.damienroth.com/)

He's a fairly decent writer, and he's trying to stick to the schedule of posting a story every Tuesday and Friday...depends on how long his backlog holds out, I guess.

If you have any comments for me, or for him, you can either post a comment on the blog (it'll have to be moderated - I'm careful about blocking spam) or e-mail him directly. It's just his name - damienroth (at) damienroth (dot) com. Same goes for me - brandonkerlee (at) damienroth (dot) com.

We hope to hear from some of you, and hope you enjoy. When I get a chance, I'll send him this link and maybe you'll see a comment from one of us!

I'd like to through mine out there, if nothing else to see what people think.

http://www.cinemafromage.com

I post movie reviews on here, as well as my own personal 'dvd viewing journal' so I can keep track of how much of a crackhead I am. Aside from that, my newest ongoing topic on my blog is 'A Fatman and his Dog', a random thoughts, that spring from my daily walks with my dog.

I know it's my first post, but i'm not here just to advertise!

I've been lurking around here for awhile now, as I started back to writing after a long (10 years or so hiatus) and with that, I've recently been bitten by the blogging bug. It's a lot of fun, and for me, a good way to get my focus before sitting down to writing in earnest.

That, and due to the main topic of my blog, it's a good excercise motivator as well! :)

Dawno, thanks for checking out Damien's blog, and thanks for the link! We've worked really hard to make a nice, readable site. I'll peruse your blog from home tonight...can't do too much at work. I'll try to get Damien to read it...I'll see what he thinks (still can't get him to post here...he doesn't like computers very much).

Anyway, thanks again!

The purpose of my blog, The Heart and Craft of Lifestory Writing (http://heartandcraft.blogspot.com), is to help ordinary people write extraordinary stories from their own lives, in their own words and voices. I've been studying and teaching lifestory writing and coaching lifestory writers for nearly ten years, and the blog is my chance to pass along thoughts triggered by students, to answer questions in a public forum, and generally share my passion for this art form.

Some recent posts include thoughts about Fascinating Readers (http://heartandcraft.blogspot.com/2006/03/fascinate-your-readers.html), Writing With All Your Senses (http://heartandcraft.blogspot.com/2006/03/fascinate-your-readers.html), and The Value of a Clear Purpose (http://heartandcraft.blogspot.com/2006/03/fascinate-your-readers.html).

Most tips will be useful to any writer, because writing is writing, and boundaries blur.

Been away for a week or two while I completely redid my journal. The URL has changed:

http://www.barrettmanor.com/julie/journal.aspx

If you're linking, just change the .asp at the end to .aspx and it'll work.

The layout looks similar, but the underlying code (geek alert!) is all ASP.Net 2.0.

The old link will stay with a redirect.

Hello again. I'm working on my old blog listed at 'ohdawno.org'

I'd like to check a couple things to see if they work - I would be most grateful (and no, this isn't a cheeky attempt to get traffic - I wouldn't mind at all if you never go there again) if you'd drop by. Feel free to go to comments and just say "hi". Mostly I want to see if the site meter and blog log is working. In order to know if blog log is working I'd need someone to click some of the embedded links.

Thanks! Meanwhile, back to my CSS homework. :)

Diary of a Literary Fiction Editor

Today was my first day on the job as a literary fiction editor. After two decades of submitting my fiction, I am now receiving fiction submissions.

I thought it might be interesting to track my new adventure, so I started a blog to document what it will be like on the other side of the author/editor relationship.

If you would like to be a virtual fly on a literary fiction editor's desk, you can view my progress at the following blog site.

Welcome jchines! I look forward to reading your LJ. Are you on 'cranky editors' at LJ? May I add you to my friends list?

Hi everyone. I've been keeping a weight loss blog since last July: A Dumbbell In A Home Gym. (http://nicolew.typepad.com/dumbbell/) It's all about my weight loss and fitness efforts over the past year. (If you're bored silly by dieting talk, it probably isn't for you.)

Hi Dawno! Yup, I'm one of the cranky lurkers on that group. And by all means, friend away!

I just started a blog and have no idea what I'm doing. As you can see I have a website as well. Should I have both blog and regular site? I haven't touched my site in over a year because I can't deal with all that html and stuff.

Looking at the blog info. I can cut and paste published stuff. It appears more difficult to handle on my regular site. Should I drop my regular site and just use the blog site?

I don't know what I'm doing, truly. I can't even type my blog on the www line. If I just do www.blogspot.com (http://www.blogspot.com/) I get right to it. I'm fermished.
